Missa Aedis Christi was first performed on Ascension Sunday, May 1994, by the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, directed by Stephen Darlington and was commisioned by the Friends of Christ Church Cathedral. The work was composed in Provence in August 1993 and extensively revised by the composer in 1999.
