Pianist, arranger, composer and educator Andy LaVerne studied with Bill Evans, toured with Woody Herman in the 1970s and has played with John Abercrombie, Miroslav Vitous and Stan Getz?s group as well as leading his own groups. His approach to chord substitution is admired by fellow musicians. This collection features twelve compositions personally selected and performed by Laverne.
