This book is planned to follow the earlier volume (book 1) as a progressive trumpet course. As in the previous book, the studies often provide a challenge for the young player. The book is based mainly on keys with signatures of three or four sharps or flats, and the student should be conditioned to realise that these keys should not be considered any more difficult than keys with fewer accidentals. The studies are not too long so that they do not prove over strenuous for the young player.
